Scheduling

See the week, fill the gaps, stop double-booking

A week view of every scheduled job and who is on it. Drag your week into shape in the morning, and everyone can see where they are meant to be without a group text.

The problem

A whiteboard in the shed works right up until two people quote the same Tuesday, or the one person who knows the run of the week is off sick.

What it does

How scheduling works in GoSmoko

The whole week at a glance

Jobs sit on the days they are booked for, grouped by who is doing them. Gaps are obvious, and so is the day you have over-committed.

Assignments everyone can see

Each job shows its owner, so your crew can check their own day without asking you.

Priorities that surface

Urgent work is marked as such, so the callout that matters does not sit behind a routine maintenance visit.

Straight to the job card

Tap anything on the calendar to open the full job, with its tasks, notes, and history.

Step by step

What you actually do

  1. 1

    Book the date

Set a scheduled date when you create or edit the job.

  2. 2

    Assign the person

Pick who is doing it from your team list.

  3. 3

    Work the week

Open the schedule each morning, see what is on, and move things when the day changes shape.

The details that matter

  • Week navigation is bookmarkable, so a specific week can be shared as a link.
  • Unscheduled jobs stay visible on the jobs board rather than quietly disappearing.
  • Scheduling is indexed by date and business, so the view stays fast as job history grows.

Questions

Before you switch

Can I schedule a job to more than one day?

A job holds one scheduled start date. For long jobs, keep logging time entries against it across as many days as the work takes.

Does it sync with my phone calendar?

Not yet. Calendar sync is on the roadmap; today the schedule lives in GoSmoko and is visible to your whole team.
